Two Days Having Too Much Fun

Even though this weekend didn't start the way I planned it ended up being a great family weekend. Friday night I wanted to take Olivia to the Shrimp Festival fireworks, I stress wanted. See I didn't get to take her because she decided she didn't need a nap. The fireworks started at 9:45 so yes she needed a nap and no she didn't take one. We didn't end up going. I was kind of bummed but Paul took me to ColdStone for ice cream and made it all better, I love my husband.

Saturday we ended up having an impromtu dinner with Russ, Jen, and their kids. If was really nice. We fried lobster and made a low country boil-not bad for last minute huh?

The shrimp were fresh and when I say fresh I mean it. Paul had to head them and clean them and boy were they good. Since Olivia has to do everything her Daddy does she of course had to help clean the shrimp up to get ready for dinner.

We had a nice dinner on the back porch, the weather was great. The three kids got to play and run around. I learned how much sand a 1 year old can get in their hair even though there isn't that much hair on her head. Boy it was a pain in the butt to get out. At least everyone had fun.

Sunday was filled with fun and family time again. Russ and Jen had a few friends over so the kids could play again and we cooked out. They turned the hot tub down so the little kids-Olivia and Colby could go swimming like the big kids(they had a waterslide). Olivia and Colby loved it. Colby had on some water wings so he could just float. Olivia doesn't have any yet but next time she will so she can chill out in the water with her cuz:)

Here are a few shots of Olivia and Colby hanging out in the hot tub. Who said hot tubs were for grown-ups only, they seemed to enjoy it.

All in all we had a great weekend with lots of fun and family time. We never did make it to the shrimp festival-maybe next year.
