Leave Your Worries Behind and Head To The Lake

This post contains tons of pictures but I promise there are few words:)
We headed out to Lake Santa Fe almost 2 weeks ago for a family vacation with Russ, Jen, Kendall, Colby, Mom, Debbie, Neil, Lonnie, Laici, Stephanie, and a few other family members. We had a great time while we were there. Olivia was so much more fun this year then last, she didn't sleep all the time and could actually play in the water. Here are some, not all, of the photos I got. I think we took almost 300 pictures to capture all of the fun we had, ENJOY!!

Olivia and Daddy playing at the end of the dock.
The little boat Landon let Olivia borrow, she liked floating around and playing in the water.

Since Olivia had to be in a life vest or floaties in the water we filled up her little pool to play in too. She loved it, especially when Daddy got in with her.

*Can they see me?* Olivia LOVES ice and was trying to get it out of the cooler any chance she got.

Before we blew the pool up we played on the neighbors boat ramp. Olivia could splash and play in shallow water and didn't have to wear a life vest. Check out that tan I got while I was there:)
We of course brought the jet skis with us. Olivia enjoys the ride now that she has a new life vest without the neck support thing. Here she is trying to get in and cool off.

Chillin' out while taking a ride.
Mommy and Olivia

We had a great time on vacation this year. I can't wait til next year!!!

Water + Bucket = FUN, FUN, FUN

* Warning: This post contains a lot of photos, enjoy*
Whenever Paul takes Olivia outside to play I'm always in for a treat when I join them, Tuesday night was no exception. I go outside and see this...
Yes, that is my darling daughter climbing into a bucket filled with water. When Daddy's around fun will ensue:)
It's always more fun with a giant shovel.

She was excited about something. She's a very proud girl.
Giving Daddy a funny look, like what do you think you're doing with my toys.

When the giant shovel isn't enough break out the hose!
Then take a drink if your thirsty, very sanitary.
MMMM, that's some good water:)

When Daddy is around there is fun to be had. Olivia LOVES to play in the water no matter where it is:)

It Was Today We Decided To Stay In Our Pajamas All Day

Well things have been quite interesting around the Panke house this week. I am officially on summer vacation and am very excited about spending the days with Olivia, but boy what a way to start vacation. Olivia has strep throat, WOOHOO:) The week didn't start off with a sick baby but when she got sick it got bad.

We started off the week having QT with each other and hanging out with Nanny. We ran some errands and got a few things we needed for around the house. By Wednesday afternoon I thought something was wrong with Olivia but was sure it was her molars trying to come in, she is cutting 3 at once-my poor baby. Thursday morning things got worse and well it just went downhill from there. Olivia and I had to run to Hilliard for a haircut, Olivia slept the entire drive there-highly unusual for her. She then wanted to be held the entire time we were at Zan's, again highly unusual for her. She looked exhausted(she hadn't taken a nap since Tuesday) and was very clingy a sign that she is not feeling well. I talked to Mom who agreed that is was probably her teeth. She was running a low fever and began pulling on her ears, all I was thinking was she better not have an ear infection again. Just to be on the safe side I called to make a Dr appt and I'm so glad I did. Friday morning we went to the dr to find out that Olivia was indeed sick and had strep throat of all things. The doctors exact words were *her throat looks very angry*. So needless to say we are on a 10 day course of antibiotics to get her well again. Surprisingly she is taking them very well and is finally getting some sleep, thank goodness.

Here are some shots of Olivia this week, our first week of summer fun:)
Playing with the new puzzles Nanny got her. These are pretty cool they are chunky puzzles with jumbo knobs to pick the pieces up She loves them.Look at me I can stand in my high chair:) That's what we get for not putting the tray on it for her.
Watching Daddy take apart the lawn mower so it works properly. Check out that shirt and the drool. Can you now see why I thought it was her teeth, she was drooling like that all week. I guess when babies get strep they drool a lot too. I'll remember that next time.

The popsicle I let her have since she hadn't eaten or drank anything for about 3 days. She throughly enjoyed it wrapper and all.
Chewing on a washcloth at about 5:00 in the afternoon still in the pajamas she went to bed in last night. I was not about to try and dress a sick baby today so guess what I didn't. She spend the entire day in her pj's and why not she did take a 4 hour nap today:)
I surely hope the rest of our summer is eventful as this week has been minus the illness of Olivia.

*Quick note: First look at that messy hairdo, suddenly Olivia has a lot of hair but still not enough to do anything with. Second, look at that face if she could talk she was tell me to get the dang camera out of her face she's trying to relax*

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream

People say that Olivia looks just like her Daddy(I really don't see it) but in more ones than one she acts just like her Mommy.
Olivia and I share the same LOVE for ice cream, as I have found out recently. When it comes to ice cream my motto is *there's always room for ice cream*. And I mean that, no matter how filling dinner is, how cold it is, or what time of day it is I can eat ice cream. I think Olivia is going to be the same way. Friday night we went out to eat, Olivia of course didn't eat her dinner, then to Sonic after for a Snicker's Sonic Blast(it's kinda like a Blizzard from DQ). I being the wonderful mom that I am shared with her in the truck on the way home. That certainly wasn't enough for Olivia she had to get some of Daddy's too, as you can see below.

She ate quite a bit of the ice cream, which didn't surprise me, after all she is my daughter. I guess Paul has two ice cream lovers on his hands now, isn't he lucky. We'll me making Friday night trips to Cold Stone for many years to come, YUMMY!!

Whoever said that children have more fun with the box then the toy inside was right!

This weekend was an exciting one for our family. We started off the weekend Saturday by going to a picnic on the base for Stacy's ship. Mayport is right on the water so we took the opportunity to take Olivia to the beach for the first time. To say she loved it would be an understatement. She loved every part of the beach-water, waves, sand, and shells. It was so much fun to watch her play in the surf with Stacy and to play in the surf with her.
Here are a few of the hightlights from the day: I got a little wet while we were playing in the surf, that's what I get for wearing capri's to the beach:) It didn't matter my girl was having a BLAST!

Mommy showing Olivia how to jump over the waves as they came on shore.

When it was time to go of course my big girl had to climb the stairs by herself. She did a great job especially since she has only climbed stairs once or twice before.
Sunday was equally as busy around our house. Olivia spend the morning at Nanny and Poppy's house since Stacy's mom and Allen were in town. After a long nap we went for a jet ski ride. This time Olivia enjoyed it even more. We got her a new big girl life jacket, one without the head support. She likes this one so much better, which I'm thankful for. It would have been a miserable summer if she did not like the life jacket. While Daddy and Poppy washed the jet skis Olivia had to get in the middle of it.
If there's water Olivia is there! Here she is trying to take the soap to help Daddy wash. There is absolutely no denying that Paul is her Daddy with her obsession with cleaning things:) Now to the shoe box. Here's the back story: I have a ton of shoe boxes in my closet which makes a great place for the cat to hide under, in, and around. Sunday night the cat ran into the closet to hide from Olivia BUT she was hot on his heals and chased him. When he got in the closet he got behind the shoe boxes and she was calling him, he did not come out of course. Since he wouldn't come out she decided to go in after him moving the boxes out of her way. Well the cat escaped and the boxes took over Olivia's attention. I'm not kidding when I say she played with them for a good 20 minutes.
She finally got in the box after playing.

Trying to get out of the box she fell over. Of course me being the wonderful mom that I am had to take a few pictures before I helped her out. This is the shot just before the look of complete panic set in.

Whoever said that the box was more fun then the toy inside was right!!:)
