Well things have been quite interesting around the Panke house this week. I am officially on summer vacation and am very excited about spending the days with Olivia, but boy what a way to start vacation. Olivia has strep throat, WOOHOO:) The week didn't start off with a sick baby but when she got sick it got bad.
We started off the week having QT with each other and hanging out with Nanny. We ran some errands and got a few things we needed for around the house. By Wednesday afternoon I thought something was wrong with Olivia but was sure it was her molars trying to come in, she is cutting 3 at once-my poor baby. Thursday morning things got worse and well it just went downhill from there. Olivia and I had to run to Hilliard for a haircut, Olivia slept the entire drive there-highly unusual for her. She then wanted to be held the entire time we were at Zan's, again highly unusual for her. She looked exhausted(she hadn't taken a nap since Tuesday) and was very clingy a sign that she is not feeling well. I talked to Mom who agreed that is was probably her teeth. She was running a low fever and began pulling on her ears, all I was thinking was she better not have an ear infection again. Just to be on the safe side I called to make a Dr appt and I'm so glad I did. Friday morning we went to the dr to find out that Olivia was indeed sick and had strep throat of all things. The doctors exact words were *her throat looks very angry*. So needless to say we are on a 10 day course of antibiotics to get her well again. Surprisingly she is taking them very well and is finally getting some sleep, thank goodness.
Here are some shots of Olivia this week, our first week of summer fun:)
Playing with the new puzzles Nanny got her. These are pretty cool they are chunky puzzles with jumbo knobs to pick the pieces up She loves them.

Look at me I can stand in my high chair:) That's what we get for not putting the tray on it for her.

Watching Daddy take apart the lawn mower so it works properly. Check out that shirt and the drool. Can you now see why I thought it was her teeth, she was drooling like that all week. I guess when babies get strep they drool a lot too. I'll remember that next time.

The popsicle I let her have since she hadn't eaten or drank anything for about 3 days. She throughly enjoyed it wrapper and all.

Chewing on a washcloth at about 5:00 in the afternoon still in the pajamas she went to bed in last night. I was not about to try and dress a sick baby today so guess what I didn't. She spend the entire day in her pj's and why not she did take a 4 hour nap today:)

I surely hope the rest of our summer is eventful as this week has been minus the illness of Olivia.
