30 Hasn't Been So Bad Until....

I found a wrinkle!!!! Yes, at 30 I found a wrinkle. Well not exactly one wrinkle quite a few wrinkles on my face!!! I couldn't believe it, I guess I didn't think I was that old or aged or something like that. When the heck did this happen?!?!?!

Here's how I discovered my wrinkle and was told about the many more I have. The other day after the kids left school we were sitting at our desks working and I started laughing at something, I have no idea what made me laugh so hard, that's how traumatized I was about the wrinkle. I suddenly touched my face around my mouth and felt a laugh line(that's the nice way to say wrinkle). I made the comment about having a wrinkle and my wonderful friend Kelly replied "do you think you only have one." I was appauled!! I couldn't believe she said that and I couldn't believe I had wrinkles I'm only 30 for crying out loud!! She then preceeded to tell me that I have wrinkles on my forehead from scrunching it all the time. I ran to the bathroom and looked, oh my goodness she was right I did!!

So for the past few days I've been pretty upset about the realization that I'm getting old even though I don't feel old. All I've got to say it's a good thing I'm helping out a friend by having a Mary Kay party next week, I hope they have some good wrinkle cream because I need it!!!

A Budding Artist

Today was a girls day at our house. Paul took off with some friends to go 4 wheeler riding so it was just me and Olivia, we had a great day!

Now that she has a playroom and her new art table she is always into something and usually one of us it too. So today since it was girls day and all I was her coloring buddy. I will say Olivia is a fabulous artist. But the cutest part of coloring time was when she got *monstie* to color with her. First she put him on his very own stool to color, she pushed him in and everything. But when he wouldn't color she decided to pick him up, sit him on the table, and try to give him a crayon to color a picture. How stinkin' cute is that?? Her imagination is just amazing to me, I didn't realize she would be so imaginative at such a young age. I could even sense the aggravation in her voice when *monstie* wouldn't hold his own crayon. When he wouldn't hold the crayon and color she put him on her lap and said "look" and started showing him how to color.

Olivia loves to have her hand traced when she colors, I have no idea why. I think I have about a thousand pictures with her hand traced on them. One day I'm sure I'll look back at them and remember the days when her hand was that tiny. She even tries to trace her own hand. I think I may need a bigger refrigerator for all of her artwork

And She Wore It To Dinner

Maybe it's my fault because I was anti-headband when she was a baby. Maybe I should have put one on her once in a while or started a little earlier. No matter what the reason Olivia absolutely will not wear anything on her head-hat, headband, or clip. I've tried so hard for about the last year to get her to wear something on her head and she usually rips it off and throws it in about 2.5 seconds. Instead of trying with expensive nice hair things I resorted to little plastic clips that are easy on her hair and won't break the bank if she breaks or loses them.

For the past week or so every night when Paul and Olivia brush her teeth she has been coming in the bedroom with one or two clips in her hair telling me *pretty* and yes she does look pretty. I'm so excited she is finally allowing us to put something in her hair but it's always before bedtime so they can't stay in long. Well tonight that all changed. I walked in the bathroom and saw my pretty little girl with a pretty pink clip in her hair. She even got mad when I tried to take it out and fix it. Doesn't she just look precious with it in her hair. I hope this continues and Mom is going to make some new clips with ribbon on them for her, I can't wait. Next up one of the gorgeous hats that Mom makes.

Finally Gettin' Around To It

We have not only been relaxing around these parts we've been cleaning up and taking care of some long over due business.

I've wanted Olivia to have a playroom for a while, but in a 3 bedroom house it can be quite hard. We grew out of this house about 2 weeks after we moved in, that's when we found out I was pregnant-great timing huh?!?! Well I always thought we had a good size house until Olivia arrived-we moved the office into the dining room(it was going to be in her room) and wanted to keep a spare bedroom for any guests or for Paul to sleep in when he made me mad-HAHAHA:) I also kept my scrapbook stuff in there so it was out of the way. I finally broke down this week and packed up my scrapbook stuff and made the spare bedroom into playroom for Olivia. We left the bed and dresser but put as many of her toys in there as we could. She LOVES having her own room to play in, I can't keep her out of there. Here are a few shots of her *payroom* as she calls it...
Cleaning up also meant I could finally get my foyer back. Last year Olivia got a ball pit from Nanny and Poppy and since we didn't have a playroom we put it in the foyer, then at Christmas we put the tree there. I was debating on putting the kitchen there this year but we of course got a playroom so Mommy got her foyer back and I love it. It's like new found room in our house, I'm not walking into things in the middle of the night or dodging toys, tables, and other junk when I walk around me house. I'm so happy about that:)

Lastly, Paul finally got around to putting my drawer and cabinet pulls on....LOVE IT!! I've been looking at them for the 2 1/2 years we've been in the house but we just didn't have the money in our budget to get them, they were a want not a need. If you've ever priced cabinet pulls they are around $4 each and I needed 35 of them to complete my kitchen so we've waited until now. These were in my stocking and I was so excited about it. Paul started putting them on the other day and I'm completely in love with them and the ease of opening my drawers and cabinets. Olivia seems to like them too she was pulling the drawers open and closed last night laughing since it was so easy for her now, thank goodness we have the cabinets locked so she can't get in. Aren't they pretty, they look fantastic in my kitchen???
And what's a post without a shot of my beautiful daughter. Look at that BIG smile on her face, isn't she just a doll?!?!?
