Spooktacular at the Zoo

Sunday night we ventured out to the zoo for Spooktacular, with Mom, Stacy, Anna, George, Ella, and Eli. Of course nothing I plan goes off with out a hitch. We went to dinner at Olive Garden, which was probably not the best idea. The wait for a table wasn't as bad as the wait once we were seated. Let's just say it took an hour and a half to eat dinner with 3 children at the table. Our servers must not have been mom's or they would have been quicker. Since our dinner took so long we didn't get to the zoo until 8:00, we started off the night at 5:00. The kids still had fun and that's all that counts.
Our family photo that Olivia just wouldn't cooperate, she was staring at the kids playing next to Stacy while he was trying to take the picture. Why must my child try to pick the tiger's nose?!?! She thought it was so funny and laughed about it.
Olivia got to take her first ride on a carousel at the zoo. The really enjoyed it, she usually doesn't like anything that confines her but she was into the seat belt, laughing and playing with it. She had a smile from ear to ear for the entire ride which lasted all of 3 minutes.

Playing in the inflatable pumpkins. She thought hey were pretty neat.
At the end of the night Olivia finally got to say HI to the eagle. We had tried earlier in the night but there were some impolite people who wouldn't let us get close. I guess being patient pays off because on the way out he was waving at everyone. Olivia yelled *bird bird* Daddy took her over and she got a little one on one time with the eagle and got her picture taken a few times with him. I bet the rude people didn't get that!
Even though it took us a while to get there we had a great time. I think Olivia is going to have more fun next year. This is such a fun age I want to keep her like this forever!!!
