Here is another picture of Grady and Olivia. For some reason it was deleted from the last post.

Party and Playtime

I just had to share this sweet smile with everyone. Isn't she just BEAUTIFUL!! Olivia is always so happy.

Last night Olivia and I went to Kelly's for a jewelry party. Olivia had great time playing with Grady and the jewelry. Grady loved her he kept saying "baby", he couldn't say her name. It was the cutest thing ever. He would take her hand and get her to follow him around-she wouldn't really follow but he sure did try. He was amazed by her and wanted to play all night long with her. Here are a few shots of him being very loving to her.

Getting stuck

I always brag about how smart my kid is, I think I spoke too soon. Usually when we eat dinner Olivia is either in her high chair at the table or playing in the kitchen. Last night she decided that she would play under the kitchen table. We have a glass table and she is absolutely amazed by the fact that she can see us but can't touch us or the stuff on the table. Yes it is hilarious to watch her grab at stuff and get ticked because nothing is in her hands. Back to playing under the table. The first thing she did was crawl to Paul's feet. She played there for a minute then moved on. Next to the center of the table, it is a metal base with lattice kind of hard to explain. She stood up inside of it looked around and sat down. Lastly to the only empty chair at the table which was pushed as far in as it would go. This is where she got stuck. She would sit up and try to crawl out, it wasn't happening for her. So she decided to crawl over the metal bar on the chair, mind you she was laughing the whole time. This is her in the middle of trying to get out from under the table. I took the picture and then helped her out. Paul didn't want her to get hurt so he of course told me to get her before she fell, he didn't help he just watched. Like I said before I don't know how smart she really is now. Do I chalk this up to being creative and getting out of a sticky situation or is she blonde like her Mommy and just got stuck because she is nosey:)?

I will say I LOVE THIS GIRL!!! She keeps my life full or surprises and fun, I truly don't know what I would do without her. Our family dinners used to be so uneventful now we have Olivia getting stuck and providing entertainment for us.

Just call her Houdini

I've heard people say their child climbed out of the crib or a swing but the walker, never heard of that until now. While I was working today I got an email that was titled ESCAPEE!!!!!! I of course opened it since it was from Mom(my babysitter). The escapee was Olivia and she escaped from her walker. The pictures below are from her second attempt, I think. The first time Mom wasn't in the room and caught her at the tail end of the escape. Needless to say Mom made the walker higher so it wouldn't be as easy-now she'll get hurt when she falls out. I guess one way or another she'll learn not to escape from the walker:)I knew she was going to be a dare devil but not this early. Boy do we have our hands full.

I wish I took a picture

Today Paul and Olivia spent the day together since Nanny had to go to a funeral. Well it was an adventure for both of them. They actually had a great day until....Olivia threw up on a french fry at lunch. Of course they were at a restaurant and no she wasn't really eating the french fry. The nice waitress brought Paul a basket of fries for Olivia and not wanting to be rude he held them for her and let her chew on them. Now this isn't the first time he's done this but this time she didn't want to let go. She got a bite-a huge bite and swallowed it. This is when she got sick. She is great at puking in public. So of course Paul had to change her when he got home. Her clothes are pretty well organized-short sleeve, long sleeve, and pants(I'm a little OCD), it should have been easy for him. He picked out two cute things but of course they didn't go together. The onesie he put on her was an outfit by itself-really cute button up the front with ruffles on the butt. Oh yeah, it was purple. He then proceeded to pick out a pair of purple pants to go with it. The onesie DIDN'T need pants with it. When I got home today this is what I saw. Boy did she look cute. I couldn't stop laughing at her. I can't believe he dressed her like this. I know he can do better, he has done better. I thought I should be thankful she was dressed and in weather appropriate clothing. When Paul got home from the gym I asked him about his clothing choices for the afternoon. He CLAIMS he knew the onesie didn't get pants but he was taking her outside while he was doing some work. I just had to laugh and I sure did wish I could have taken a picture of this lovely outfit. The moral to this story-have back up clothes for Daddy when he watches Olivia so she doesn't look like an orphan:)

A little reflection

This weekend has given me the chance to reflect a little on my life. Today is the day Olivia turns 7 months old. Holy cow! I can't believe it's been 7 months already. She is growing so much and so fast. I want her to grow up but I also want her to stay a baby and not grow up so fast.

I also began looking back at how life has changed since motherhood. This weekend was FL/GA which usually meant parties, football, and fun. This year is wasn't. I began to think it was because I was getting older, I'm a mom now, or that I've changed and those things just aren't important anymore. We did NOTHING for the football game-very different for us. I actually went shopping Saturday with Mom and didn't even see the game until around 5-GO GATORS!!! we did kick butt. Then to top off a day that was out of the ordinary for Paul and I we were in bed by 10:00, yes 10 on a Saturday. Are we getting old or what? I will say it was great to get more then 6 hours of sleep. Olivia slept great only getting up once, maybe the time change will be a blessing to her sleep schedule-or maybe she was just wiped out from a busy day of shopping with Mommy and Nanny.

So to sum it all up our priorities have definately changed over the past 7 months. We tend to spend more time at home together as a family. Which I LOVE.

I know my reflection didn't get too deep but I've been thinking about my life lately and this weekend definately made me think a little more. Now that we have Olivia our fun has changed from being with friends to being with each other. Believe me we have never spent so many Saturday nights at home watching TV or playing with silly toys then we do now. It is great just the 3 of us spending time together.

The Finished Pumpkin

Here is the pumpkin that Paul carved for Olivia. He was so proud that it was done, isn't he such a good dad:) You can't see her enitre name it went around the pumpkin too much, but you get the point. Now our little girl has a pumpkin for her first Halloween.
